Long-Term RV Sites on the Grand Strand

Housing here is tight. New neighborhoods almost all have HOAs that will not let a camper sit in the driveway, so you still need storage if you buy. If you need a place to live in the RV while you wait, these parks actually publish longer-stay rates instead of charging you like a one-week vacationer.

Call before you tow.

Long-term sites fill up, especially inland annual lots and oceanfront winter months. Published prices change, electric is often extra, and summer nightly rates at the same parks can be brutal. Confirm stay type, waitlist, and whether they will take a working-age full-timer versus snowbirds only.

Inland first — usually cheaper than the sand

Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach

Annual from $10,960

Conway, SC · inland of Myrtle Beach

Published annual sites start around $10,960 for 12 months (metered electric billed monthly). They also take monthly stays, but generally not between April and November. Annuals are first-come and often waitlisted — ask about semi-annual if the year-round lots are full.

WillowTree RV Resort & Campground

Monthly stays

Longs, SC · ~20 min to North Myrtle Beach

Big paved pull-throughs (about 100 ft) with full hookups. They advertise monthly rates for snowbirds and extended stays. They do not currently offer annual/yearly site rentals — if you need a 12-month pad, call Sun Outdoors or the oceanfront annual parks instead.

Oceanfront & Kings Road — winter and annual lots

Myrtle Beach Travel Park

Winter monthly from $1,095

10108 Kings Road, Myrtle Beach

One of the few parks that posts winter numbers in public. Traditional monthly (under 90 days) for Nov 2026–Mar 2027: $1,095/mo + tax (oceanfront/lakefront $1,195). April–May 2027 jumps to $1,640 / $1,740. They also sell 90–180 day winter packages prepaid. Oceanfront/lakefront is blocked on the long discounted stays.

Apache Family Campground & Pier

Seasonal & annual

9700 Kings Road, Myrtle Beach

Oceanfront community with a private pier. Repeat guests and seasonal/annual campers are a real part of this park — they do not post a public monthly menu, so you have to call. Summer nightly rates are vacation pricing; ask specifically for seasonal or annual availability.

Pirateland Family Camping Resort

Annual leases · off-season monthly

5401 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach (South Strand)

Oceanfront. They rent annual lease sites (you own the trailer, they rent the lot). Transient sites are recreational, not residential. Monthly specials exist in the off season only — not summer. If you need a year-round pad on the south end, ask for the annual lease office, not a weekend reservation.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground

28-day+ discounts

6001 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Huge oceanfront park. They do not sell a cheap “live here all year” menu the way an inland annual park does, but they do give monthly escalating discounts for stays of 28 days or more. Off-season (Labor Day through May) the discount grows each month ($2–$5 off per day). Summer maxes out at $2/day off — still vacation pricing. Book campsites at 877-510-1413.

Lakewood Camping Resort

Annual lot leases ~$8.5k–$10.4k

South Myrtle Beach, next to Ocean Lakes

This is more of a leased-lot community than a nightly campground. Recent public site listings show annual lot leases around $8,496–$9,111+ (plus buying or already owning the unit on the site). Call the resort if you want an empty annual pad rather than a packaged park-model sale.

Do not count on state parks for housing

Myrtle Beach State Park and Huntington Beach State Park are excellent short stays. They run typical state-park stay limits (often about two weeks), not monthly living. Use them for a gap week, not as a winter home.
