What RVs are selling for on the Grand Strand
Updated Oct 19, 2026 · refreshed weekly
Each week we count the RVs, campers, and trailers that private owners are advertising between Georgetown, SC and Wilmington, NC — Myrtle Beach, Conway, Loris, the Brunswick County beaches, and the Cape Fear area. This week we counted 18 local owner listings with an overall median asking price of $19,500. Dealer ads, "we buy RVs" ads, parts, hitches, parking spots, and duplicate reposts are left out.
Compared with the last report (Oct 5), the local owner market held steady again: the listing count, the overall median, and the medians for every RV type came in unchanged, making it three straight readings at the same level. Many owner listings on the Grand Strand stay up for weeks, so short-term moves are small; the trend table below will show more as the weeks add up.
Asking prices by RV type
| Type | Listings | Median | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Travel trailer | 9 | $17,500 | $7,000 – $69,995 |
| Fifth wheel | 4 | $12,200 | $2,000 – $35,000 |
| Class A | 1 | $85,558 | $85,558 |
| Class C/B | 1 | $68,000 | $68,000 |

| Toy hauler | 0 | — | — |
| Other | 3 | $39,000 | $4,000 – $81,000 |
| All RVs | 18 | $19,500 | $2,000 – $85,558 |
What stands out this week
- Travel trailers are still the bulk of the local owner market — 9 of 18 listings — and most of them ask between $10k and $22.5k, with a median of $17.5k.
- Fifth wheels this week skewed older and cheaper than travel trailers, from a needs-work project at $2k up to a 40-footer at $35k.
- Motorhomes were scarce: one Class A (about $85.6k) and one late-model Class C ($68k). With so few, those numbers are a snapshot, not a trend.
- Wilmington-area sellers posted slightly more trailers than the Myrtle Beach side, but asking prices on both ends of the Strand landed in the same range.
Week-by-week trend
| Week of | Listings | Overall median | Travel trailer | Fifth wheel |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 19 | 18 | $19,500 | $17,500 | $12,200 |
| Oct 5 | 18 | $19,500 | $17,500 | $12,200 |
| Oct 2 | 18 | $19,500 | $17,500 | $12,200 |
How to use these numbers
Figures come from public owner listings in the area and are asking prices, not sale prices. Most private deals close a little below the ask, and condition matters more than the averages — a coach that has lived in salt air needs a roof and underbelly check before you trust any number. Small categories (one or two listings) can swing a lot week to week.
